Francis ChuahShotoshinkai News: The Sabah Shotoshinkai Karate-Do Association conducted its first ever upgrading test and seminar on September 17 in the Youth Arena Hall, Sandakan.
The seminar and the test were conducted by the founder of Shotoshinkai Karate-Do Malaysia & the Shibu-cho of International Seito Karate-Do Kenkyukai (I.S.K.K.) in Malaysia, Shihan Ridzuan Md. Zain 5th Dan (P.J.K, P.J.M) and assisted by Sensei Chepto Hj Sumadi 3rd Dan.
A total of 61 students and two coaches took part in the grading test including Sensei Hasnoal Hj Liwangsa, Sensei Alnadine Barri and a senior student (senpai) of Shotoshinkai Sabah, Abdullah Abd Halil.
In the afternoon, a KATA seminar was conducted by Shihan himself followed by a KUMITE seminar by Sensei Chepto Hj Sumadi, who also is the head coach of the Terengganu SUKMA Karate-Do Chief Instructor.
Before the end of the seminar, Shihan Ridzuan presented black belt diplomas to both Sensei Hasnoal and Sensei Alnadine along with Senpai Abdullah Abd Halil.
